Strings

This section is for violin, viola, cello and double bass players. There are many categories in each of the instruments for solo performance spanning beginners, through grades 1 to 8 to sonata and recital classes. In addition there are classes for string duets, trios and quartets. A specialist class for Bach Suites in cello and a non competitive ‘My Favourite Piece’ in violin also feature in the Strings section. In addition awards and cups are made for the most accomplished players over a series of classes.
