Speech and Drama

This popular section covers poetry and prose recital, public speaking, drama and mime. There is an extensive range of classes for children and young people ranging from kindergarten to age 18 and over, in solo, paired and group performances.

The range of paired and group classes includes acted shared poems and group or choral speaking.

There are many opportunities for specialisms including Bible reading, Shakespeare and competitors' own poetry, mime, prose reading and public speaking. New for 2010 is a group Shakespeare class (open to all) - a scene from any Shakespeare play.

Cups are awarded in choral speaking, solo verse, and solo drama.
