Group Music Making

If you enjoy group music making this is the section for you. It caters for any combination of instruments with or without voices. Past entrants have covered school orchestras, jazz ensembles, string orchestras, steel bands, percussion groups, chamber orchestras as well as duos and trios using a variety of instruments.

Orchestral pieces with and without soloist are catered for and opportunities exist for the performance of original pieces. Some classes are divided both by age of group members and by the number of performers. There are several open orchestral classes for all (including adults) to participate in.

This year there is a special brand new section HOT MUSIC MAKING including adult groups for any combination of "acoustic" or "unplugged" instruments (excepting keyboards). Big Bands, Steel Pans, Jazz groups and Percussion groups are welcomed.
