Classical Guitar

As part of the 2010 Festival the vituoso guitarist and composer Gary Ryan ran a guitar workshop for all levels of guitarists. Ensembles and materclasses featuring talented young players ran though the day. The workshop ended with a recital by Gary watched by an audience of guitar enthusiasts both from the local area and from further afield.

This section has solo classes for players at grades 1 to 8, plus duet and recital classes categorised by age of player.

There is also a class especially for beginners.

In addition there are duet, trio /quartet and recital classes open to all. There is an open Guitar orchestra class for five or more guitars and a Family Duet/Ensemble class. Ensemble classes for guitar with other instruments or voice also now feature in the section.

All the pieces are own choice appropriate to Grade.
